Is Rocca della Sena suitable for families with children?

Rocca della Sena is an adult-oriented boutique hotel. We welcome guests from the age of 13, as our hospitality experience is designed especially for couples, adult travellers and guests looking for tranquillity, relaxation and a peaceful atmosphere.

Can the rooms accommodate three people?

Our rooms are all double rooms. We do not have triple rooms and it is not possible to add extra beds.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is available in the afternoon, while check-out is scheduled in the morning. For any special requests, we recommend contacting us before your arrival: we will always do our best to assist you, subject to availability.

Can I arrive at the hotel before check-in time?

Yes, you can arrive earlier and leave your luggage at the hotel. If your room is already ready, we will be happy to let you check in early. Otherwise, you can start enjoying Tropea or relax in our common areas.

Can I request a late check-out?

Rocca della Sena does not have a traditional restaurant. During the day, however, we offer a selection of light dishes, snacks, drinks and aperitifs on the terrace. For dinner, we will be happy to recommend and book some of the best restaurants in Tropea and the surrounding area for you.

Is the terrace open for an aperitif?

Yes, our terrace is one of the most beautiful places to enjoy an aperitif at sunset, with views of the sea and the Aeolian Islands.

How far is the historic centre of Tropea?

The historic centre of Tropea can be easily reached on foot in about 8-10 minutes. The hotel’s location is ideal for enjoying Tropea while still experiencing peace and tranquillity.

Is the beach close to the hotel?

Yes, the beach is located below the hotel and can be reached via a private staircase. The walk down is very scenic, but please note that there are several steps: this is worth considering if you have mobility difficulties.

How many steps are there to reach the beach?

The beach can be reached via a private staircase of about 180 steps. It is one of the most beautiful and panoramic accesses to the sea, but it does require a little care, especially on the way back up.

Does the hotel have a private beach?

We do not have a private beach. However, we can recommend partner beach clubs or suitable options according to your preferences, the period and availability.

Do you provide beach towels?

Yes, we provide beach towels for our guests.

Can I reach the sea without using a car?

Yes, from Rocca della Sena you can reach the sea directly on foot via the private staircase.

Yes, we can organise a private transfer to and from Lamezia Terme Airport, upon request and at an extra charge. We recommend sending us your flight number, arrival time and number of passengers in advance.

Yes, there is a jacuzzi on our terrace overlooking the sea. It is one of the most appreciated corners of the hotel for relaxing during your stay.

Is the jacuzzi heated?

The jacuzzi is not heated. It is designed mainly for relaxing moments during the warmer season.

Do you have a gym?

Yes, we have a small fitness area for guests who wish to work out during their holiday.

Do you have a sauna?

Yes, a sauna is available. To use it, we recommend contacting reception, so that we can provide you with all the necessary information.

Is the hotel accessible for guests with reduced mobility?

We have some solutions designed to make the stay easier, but the hotel also has stairs and different levels. In addition, direct access to the beach is via a long staircase. We recommend contacting us before booking, so that we can evaluate together whether the hotel is suitable for your needs.

Are pets allowed?

No, pets are not allowed. We love animals, but due to the characteristics of the hotel and to ensure the comfort of all guests, we are unable to accommodate them.
